The Axus Contour-25 roller cover is engineered for applying paint onto extra rough and heavily textured surfaces where standard rollers can struggle to achieve consistent coverage.

The Contour-25 features no ordinary microfibre fabric. Its exceptionally dense microfibre deep-nap fabric is engineered to hold a large volume of paint while maintaining controlled, even transfer across uneven surfaces. This allows the roller cover to carry more paint into dips, pits, mortar lines, and surface irregularities, helping reduce missed spots and improve coverage speed on rough masonry and textured coatings. The dense fabric structure also helps retain and release paint more evenly, reducing spatter compared to conventional deep-pile masonry rollers.

While the term microfibre is often used widely throughout the industry, true roller performance depends on far more than fibre fineness alone. Density, fibre blend, fabric treatment, and construction quality all play a major role in how a roller cover performs during real-world application.  Engineered as a complete high-capacity fabric system, the Contour-25 is designed to balance paint loading, controlled release, coverage efficiency, reduced spatter, and long-term durability for demanding rough-surface applications.

Its tightly woven Fibre-Lock fabric helps minimise fibre loss during use, while the heat-fused construction helps prevent the fabric from unwinding from the core during heavy-duty application.

Ideal for masonry paints and coatings on roughcast, render, blockwork, brickwork, and heavily textured interior or exterior surfaces.

Product Care

Before first use:

  • Lightly dampen the roller cover and spin out excess water. This helps prepare the fabric for more even paint loading.

After use:

  1. Scrape off excess paint using an Axus Stego 6-in-1 or similar tool before rinsing thoroughly under warm water.
  2. Comb through the fabric during cleaning to help remove paint trapped deep within the pile.
  3. For easier cleaning, soak the roller cover in a solution of Pretty Boy Paint Cleaner before rinsing.
  4. Once clean, spin out excess water using a roller frame or an Axus Spin’n’Clean, then allow the roller cover to dry standing on end in a clean, dry environment.
  5. Do not allow paint to dry within the fabric, as this can reduce paint absorption and affect performance over time.
